How to Create Content that Attracts Customers
Written on February 2, 2017 at 10:54 amWhen evaluating content ideas, consider how well they engage your audience. For example, I can never stop staring at this water buffalo. Those horns! That eye. When I took his photo in Uganda, I was too scared to look at him closely, but now I can feast my eyes on him. To be successful, content creation should be highly engaging.
All smart businesses are constantly creating content whether they know it or not. In the online world, content is your voice. It differentiates your brand, creates relationships with your prospects and draws them ever closer.
Whether writing an article, crafting a blog post, or shooting a YouTube video for clients, I’ve found that creating a level of brand consistency and recognition across the visual content reinforces the message. A consistent font, selection of images, writing style will convey your brand messaging with impact.
To create powerful content that leads to profitable customer action, you will want a stylistic consistency to your message. To do that, keep in mind the following three precepts:
1. Find your voice: For many people, your content will be the first connection with your brand. Establish a clear tone of voice and use it consistently.
2. Adopt a style: Maintain consistency in the look and feel of your content. Establish an aesthetic that makes you recognizable, i.e. Apple, or Google.
3. Reuse visual assets: From your logo to your layout and your photography, re-using visual elements increases recognition of your brand.
