Phil has amazing listening skills and always asks positive, open-ended questions which are empowering. His approach is very thought provoking and allowed me to really explore my values and reasons behind my goals, which was incredibly useful.

He also helped me to create a solid action plan each session that I could follow, and followed up on how I had gotten on with it in the following session.

Phil coached during winter and spring of 2021.

We were in lockdown, and I was struggling with procrastination. I was struggling to keep up with the studies and even to keep my workplace tidy. I was somewhat lost.

Phil was exceptionally good at making me realise the implications of carrying on procrastinating and helped me analyse and understand my core values and beliefs. He helped me realise I was suffering from imposter’s syndrome and during a session I completely broke in tears because it was a moment of great self realisation.

I am proud to say that since coaching with Phil, I was able to give a face to my imposter’s syndrome and give it also a voice. I have learned that I cannot simply ignore it, but I need to be aware of it because it is trying to keep me safe when I want to get out of my comfort zone. This was for me something really important to understand because until then I did not know what had been holding me back.

Since then, I have managed to land a job that better suits my needs, and I can proudly say that I know myself better.

Phil’s coaching has really helped me to put things into perspective. Before our sessions I was very lost in various aspects of my life, but our sessions helped me to cut through the filler and focus on the things I really cared about. I always felt comfortable and safe in his sessions, and this helped us to further get down to the nitty-gritty and more challenging topics. He was great at reminding me who was by reminding me of my accomplishments which really helped my confidence. Phil is an all-round great guy and great at what he does. I recommend him highly!

Phil helped to achieve my goal and listened to me during my sessions. It felt non-judgmental and safe in each session. The coaching journey went well with every session, and I got back my confidence. I had a good number of sessions with my coach with varied topics. As I was perplexed in the beginning of my course and loosing focus, the sessions helped me to stay aligned. Similarly, I worked with him on my habit, time management which I can currently work on with ease. In each session my motivation was sustained, and I progressed towards my aim. I went to Phil looking for coaching on how to deal with performance anxiety and lack of motivation in competitive sport. Through reflection on why I found comfort in predictability, Phil helped me identify that I restricted what I could achieve in order to keep my situation familiar; so, I could stay in control of it all the time. Phil also coached me to find alternative strategies to deal with these patterns in healthier ways.

In addition to this, Phil coached me on finding strategies to stay inspired while training by encouraging me to dissect where I find inspiration and translating that to writing inspirational acronyms on my equipment

Phil has a friendly but purposeful approach to coaching that is very effective. I would highly recommend him as a coach.

My main goal for the last few years has been to successfully pass my qualifications to become a Chartered Accountant. Through my coaching sessions with Phil, I had someone to be accountable too, as well as someone to discuss my obstacles with, with the main obstacles identified as time-keeping and balancing health, work, and study commitments.

Together, we identified ways to balance my time to ensure I spent sufficient time studying and allowing myself time to focus on other areas in life, such as fitness and social/leisure time. One way this was achieved was by creating a planner in which I organised my time into study, work, fitness, and downtime

The work in my sessions with my coach meant that I had gone into my most recent exams with more confidence and less stress, as well as reduced my last-minute panic and overwhelming feelings towards my exams.

The 10 sessions I have had with my coach Phil have been incredibly enjoyable and have significantly impacted areas of my life that needed attention.

The intake session was a fanatastic taster of what I could expect and raised my awareness to things I hadn’t considered in much detail, like values and beliefs. Phil then sensitively encouraged me to consider these and how I could use them to help me achieve my goals through his curious and open questions. From our sessions I have felt my confidence grow and my motivation to complete my actions and achieve my goal has surprised me. I have been able to change my perspective on many situations, especially with regards to work.

Phil is very approachable and I feel we have great rapport. This has allowed me to be myself and open up about limiting beliefs and ive trusted him to be non-judgmental and felt he believed in me and my ability to achieve.

I would without a doubt recommend Phil as a coach to anyone. I have gained so much from our time together- I have most definitely grown personnally as a result.
